Panda’s and money making – what impacts on business success

How to reduce stress to maximise on performance, profit and progress for you the boss, your business and team.

Making money is epic.

It makes you grin to know you did the work and you got the profits!

However there is no escaping the fact that making your own money and building your own business, is hard work.

It’s every day of every year and if you don’t pay attention you could stop being sustainable and profitable, fast!

We can easily get bogged down in policies, and strategies, algorithms and trends, emails and marketing, budgeting and accounts, laws and rights, ethics and admin, on and on it goes!!!

The list is endless.

One of the things I see many business owners and leaders forget is space for…..

Anything you sodding well like!

Even if you have 2 million jobs to do by 4pm today (and trust me I know that feeling!) make a few moments to experience the positive feelings in life.

I once shared with a client and their team (who were incredibly successful but wow they faced a lot!) pandas falling over – they are very bad at well staying upright. It’s hilarious and an instant stress reliever.

For that team since then the panda has come to represent something for that amazing company and their team that is very positive and always reverts to them to a place of calm ready for anything.

I showed the same video to another company and they laughed so hard that they now have Panda hour.

Panda hour where they don’t have an agenda, just an hour together to NOT talk work and be human.

It seems like a contrary use of time doesn’t it?

But when you make time to be.

To laugh.

To sing.

To walk.

To breathe.

Heck for some of you (and I know!) to wee!

You are giving your brain a big hug and some TLC and saying you go and chill, we’ve got this.

Studies show that those that do one focused task and then flip to another for 10 minutes and then flip back perform better.

We know from thousands of studies that those that reduce stress, take time out and rest perform better – teams take less sick days and companies are more profitable!

So watch the pandas.

Enjoy a bit of joy.

Remember there’s a lot going on in the world and we can’t escape the need to know that, but if you can’t control it, help it or alter it, then reduce your exposure so it doesn’t consume you.

Watch the pandas!

What do you make space for?

How does it sustain you at work?
