Silent and Mandie in the same title – that doesn’t add up!

Ho ho. I know me and being quiet not really heard of is it?

Well to celebrate the success of my Crafternoon for the charity Mind I’m hosting a silent auction this August in partnership with The Business Womans Network.

I lost a business friend to depression earlier this year and it hurt so many people as we struggled to comprehend how such a vibrant gorgeous business woman could be gone. I wanted to put some memories in my mind that would honour who Sarah really was – fun, creative, talented, kind and very very very determined.

I hosted a crafternoon in late July. We offered acrylic painting on shells and stones and added the hashtag #SJrocks to honour Sarah. (I will be painting additional stones and shells in August for tourists to the island to discover too. Just to spread more love and happiness.

We had people offering training on crochet, knitting, card making, quilling, calligraphy and more. And everyone bought cake! It was the perfect afternoon.

We had a lot of very generous guests including BWN business women who gave us some great raffle prizes. Most impressively local artist Tom Knight gave us two signed limited edition prints. And Mersea Framing Gallery gave us a signed print too!

If that wasn’t impressive enough we were given a garnet, diamond and 10 carrot gold ring!

We couldn’t exactly add them to the raffle could we!

So this August we are hosting a silent Auction.

Below you can see the gorgeous items on offer and send your bids to mandie@mandieholgate.co.uk with Silent Auction Bid in the title. We will need you to list the item you are bidding on, your bid and contact details should you be lucky enough to win. Someone is going to get some very fabulous bargains!

So far we raised £138 on the day. £80 online and now let’s see what a bit of silent bidding can do!

To bid quote “Gorgeous Garnet”

Description

These pictures do not do this ring justice (best I stick with coaching and not photography!)

So far I’ve been advised this ring is a size N and a half. It is believed to be garnet, diamonds and 10 carrot gold.

And I’m very gutted I can’t bid on my own auction, because some one is going to get something very beautiful for nowhere near market price. It has been valued at £350 (we can not guarantee this.)

We will not be able to post these items so you either need to collect from Mersea Island or a BWN event (or coaching session) in September.

A very big thank you to everyone that attended, promoted and supported us – I really am personally very grateful.
